    Nemo Swimming Oct'11

Hello and welcome to Nemo Swimming!

We provide swimming classes to babies and toddlers aiming to promote safety and fun in the water.

We use games, repetition and play, to give your child confidence and enjoyment.

We aim to keep the early experience of swimming and ‘learning to swim’ enjoyable for young children and we want them to take a positive experience away with them each session.

We have vast experience in teaching swimming and are using that knowledge to promote a unique baby-swimming program with a natural progression to toddlers and eventually onto stroke development through our partner SwimNE.

    OUR BABY NEMO’S

Baby Nemo swimming classes allow babies to enjoy freedom of movement, relaxation and bonding.

We have designed the baby classes to promote safety in the water and focus specifically on the reaction of the child if they ever found themselves in difficulty.

There is a further explanation of this on the website and also a great video to explain.

    OUR TODDLER NEMO’S

Through games, repetition and most importantly structured play we aim to give your child the keys skills required to learn to swim.

We feel they are too young at this age to learn direct strokes and they will be encouraged to develop their own natural ability to swim, at first with swimming aids and then eventually independent.

We use various depth pools to give the child a full learning experience in a variety of water environments.

    ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...

In our ‘Baby’ Nemos the parent is in the water to help facilitate movement and is a big part of the lesson.

As the child develops and moves onto ‘Toddler’ Nemos the role of the parent becomes less and less, until the child is ready to swim alone in the class.

Our swimming instructors teach within the water and are on hand to offer advice and help when needed.

Each class lasts 30 minutes and provides a carefully balanced set of activities including swimming, submersion, floatation, songs, and most importantly fun and games.

    Many thanks Phil!
